The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Digital India week on July 1 in the capital following which several events will be held across 36 states and union territories covering 600 districts in the country.
‘Digital India‘ refers to the government’s campaign to digitally deliver essential services to all the citizens across the country and includes raising digital awareness among citizens. The impact of Digital India by 2019 (as envisioned) would range from broadband connectivity in all Panchayats, Wi-fi in schools and universities and Public Wi-Fi hotspots. “The programme will generate huge number of IT, Telecom and Electronics jobs, both directly and indirectly. Success of this program will make India digitally empowered and the leader in usage of IT in delivery of services related to various domains such as health, education, agriculture, banking.
Opportunities in J&K The program will create numerous opportunities for ICT companies in J&K in the field of Software development, System Integration, Digitization and Trainings. It is the right time for local companies to gear up and focus on capacity building for deriving the benefits of the digital revolution which is going to change the eco-system and make it all technology oriented.
