Myasa was setup in  J&K in the November of 1994, to provide computer communication solutions to the growing computer market in India.

Services we offered

Focussed towards seeing a positive impact of technology in the State, S. Yasser Kazmi, the founder of Myasa introduced Email Services in J&K. That was a time when commercial  internet was not available in India. Only the STPI’s had  access to internet over VSAT. Myasa partnered with UUNET INDIA LIMITED, the Indian Subsidiary of UUNET Technologies Inc, USA, to offer email services in the J&K State.

Within a few months of offering Email Services, Myasa built up   it’s own web development team and brought  Jammu and Kashmir on the World Wide Web.   It was in the year 1996 that first Web Sites  from J&K  started being published.One of the few initial sites from J&K that made way to the WWW included Myasa’s Own Web Portal, web site of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Web site of The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited, Travel companies, handicraft exporters, etc. The companies  saw an immediate boost in  their sales, as they started to reach global markets, never thought of otherwise, without the power of internet. Customers from all around the glove, started placing online orders for Kashmiri Handicrafts and for travel purpose. Myasa kept consulting customers and providing them the right information and solutions  to explore the global  markets through Internet.

We offer Web Services to our client base in India, UAE, Japan and  USA. Our reseller network of Web Services is growing at a fast pace and we have about 100 resellers all over the world using MYASA as the back end technology for offering services to their customers.

Myasa  and the World Wide Web have grown in parallels and the tech team of Myasa is always updated with new technologies that can bring the maximum benefits to our customers who rely on Myasa’s more than 22  years of experience and expertise in the field.

In the year 2003, we setup the J&K’s  first Wireless Campus Network for Regional Engineering College (now, National Institute of Technology) based on ethernet radios. Myasa created and trained Network Engineers to deploy and support wireless networks for it’s growing base of networking customers.  Myasa entered into exlusive support agreement with Technocraft Wireless Limited for providing support on wireless networks to Technocraft’s client base in J&K.

In 2005, Myasa diversified it’s networking business under the name of MYASA NETWORK SOLUTIONS (MNS). MNS offered Myasa Network Solutionsservices and support to newly entered Telcos in J&K for mobile telephony. Services ranged from Project Management, deploying and maintenence of Optical Fiber Networks (underground) deploying and maintenence of Wireless Networks. Most of the Telco’s chose to do business with MNS for our experience and expertise and world class support systems. We provided varied services to BSNL, Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel, Dishet Wireless (Aircel), etc.

We offer Network design, implementation and maintenence services to our customer base in India.

 Challanges we faced

Myasa moved it’s base to Kashmir in 1996, offering Email Services to the Press and Media organizations and journalists of famous media channels like Star, CNN, AFP, etc. Kashmir was disturbed in those times due to the rising militancy and there were lot of problems faced by our engineers in attending to the support calls of our customers. However, we kept delivering our services against all odds with a single minded focus – technology for impact. Kashmir used to observe curfews, strikes and we geared our staff to work from home and keep on delivering even in the rough times.

Research and Development

The bad times in Kashmir were used for the  in house Research and development in technology and we developed some very useful tools and systems that we used within our company and also deploy for our customers. Our recent research on VOIP technologies enabled us to provide services to the emerging contact center business  (international voice processes) in J&K. Currently we offer services to 60% of the contact centers in J&K.
